Dr. Hesham Omran secures an ITIDA grant

Our Lab Alumni, Dr Hesham Omran, currently an Assistant Professor at the Integrated Circuits Lab (ICL), Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, 
just secured his first grant as the lead PI. The project "AutoAIDO: Automation of Analog IC Design and Optimization" is funded for 16 months by the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) - under the Information Technology Academia Collaboration (ITAC) Program.

 He is trying to address the significant design gap between the growing chip complexity and the analog designer’s productivity impacting the design-time, the design-cost, and the products time-to-market (TTM). The aim of this proposal is to provide an analog IC synthesis tool that automates some of the key time-consuming steps in the analog design flow.  He demonstrated some of these ideas in his recent publications:
