We present the “Kingdom Chip” made with Carbon Nanotube (CNT) Forests. The chip includes a picture of King Abdullah, the National Flag of Saudi Arabia, the map of the Kingdom and the State Symbol. The chip was fabricated using a silicon wafer with 0.5 µm of oxide layer on it. Catalyst (10 nm of alumina and 1 nm of iron) was patterned using photolithography, metal evaporation, and lift off.  The catalyst was annealed at 775 °C for 20 minutes under a flow of 100 sccm of hydrogen and 400 sccm of helium.  Immediately after the annealing, 100 sccm of ethylene was introduced into the quartz tube.  The above condition was maintained for 30 minutes before cooling the sample.

Carbon Nanotubes Forests:

CNTs are made from a sheet of single layer of carbon molecules folded to make a tube. They are extraordinary molecular structures and have exceptional strength due to hexagonal structure of the molecular arrangements. CNTs are excellent conductors of electricity, heat and light and are exceptionally light weight as well.
