Sara Marie, our summer intern from the Saudi Science Research Institute (SSRI), has earned fourth place (women) among 50,000 contestants in the National Olympiad for Scientific Innovation held in Riyadh on March 21, 2011. The award is based on her work on Electrical Impedance Method on Fruit Freshness- that was performed in our laboratory in the summer of 2011. The winners were selected based on their success at the recent three-day National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity held in Riyadh. There were a total of 19,064 boys and 7,652 girls who submitted work in the scientific research category. Sara is heading to the USA to participate in the INTEL International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) to be held in May, 2012. Good luck, Sara!
